Laid-back luxury in Goa
Summertime is an independent bungalow with three spacious air-conditioned suites, a kitchen, living room and large verandahs. The villa is fully staffed with a caretaker, cook, house-keeping staff and gardeners. There is back-up generator for uninterrupted power supply.
Despite being a stone’s throw away from the hot spots of north Goa, Summertime is an oasis of peace and serenity. Located in a quiet, green and forested area full of birdlife, the villa is a perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. No matter where you are in the villa, the views are lush tropical gardens and the pools. It is a joy at any time of the day, whether you are waking up to the birdsong, feeling the breeze as you sit under a tree, or watch a koi fish jump up.
A garden to remember
Summertime is possibly the only rental villa in Goa with a huge two-acre private property to itself. The sense of privacy therefore is awesome!
Conceptualised by master landscape designer, Shashank Vaidya, a family friend, the gardens have many interesting features. The greenery starts already at the gate and climbs along the road past the pastel-coloured utility cottages, past our fruit orchard, our ‘mini Nana Nani park’ and spills over onto the lawn.
The mini Nana Nani park is a delightful, shaded walking path which attracts a large number of birds and butterflies, perfect for a morning stroll to catch the sun. Along the road are various kinds of bamboo including the rare black one and the stately golden bamboo.
Summertime Villa’s orchard grows bananas, corn, mangoes and tamarind among other things. Across the road, our own organic garden grows many seasonal vegetables and herbs. Many of these will be found on the menus of Summertime, so you can expect fresh pesto, pakoras of ajwain leaf, butterhead lettuce and kale, the beautiful crimson Rosella drinks and sweet potatoes among other, absolutely fresh, healthy and tasty produce.
We have ensured that there are many secluded and comfortable seating areas for you to enjoy the grounds – under trees, on the lawns, even built into the waterfall!
it is heaven
